Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using EULAScout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

EULAScout is a web-based tool that provides AI-powered analysis of End User License Agreements (EULAs) and Terms of Service documents. The Service uses client-side artificial intelligence to analyze text and provide summaries and insights.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use EULAScout only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Attempt to bypass rate limiting or security measures
• Use the Service to analyze content that violates any laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service excessively
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or servers
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure

4. Rate Limiting

To ensure fair access for all users, we implement rate limiting of 10 requests per minute per IP address for URL fetching. Excessive use may result in temporary or permanent blocking.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and functionality, is owned by Christopher Maher and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

• Your Content: You retain all rights to the EULA text you submit. We do not claim ownership of your content.
• AI Models: The AI models used are open-source models hosted by Hugging Face and subject to their respective licenses.
• Analysis Output: The AI-generated analysis is provided to you for your use. We do not claim ownership of the output.

6. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that EULAScout will be available 100% of the time. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle data. In summary: your EULA text is processed client-side and never stored on our servers.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the analysis
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHRISTOPHER MAHER AND EULASCOUT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any inaccuracies or errors in AI-generated analysis
• Decisions made based on the Service's analysis
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
• Any other matter relating to the Service

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Christopher Maher and EULAScout from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party AI models from Hugging Face. These models are subject to their own licenses and terms. We are not responsible for the performance, availability, or accuracy of third-party services.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The exclusive venue for any disputes shall be in Pierce County, Washington.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EULAScout regarding the Service.
